Fixing Garage Doors Since 1985
My career in the garage door industry began in 1985. I was 22 years old and began working with my Dad’s best friend George at Aquarius Door Services, Inc. I ended up buying the company from George. After 24 years, I sold my partnership in it and started Threshold Door Services in 2010.
Through the years, I have learned a lot about running a business and providing the best services to my customers. I determined early on it was hard to rely on other contractors, so I decided to take on tasks myself. This included garage doors, framework, and siding. Before I knew it, I was doing everything except plumbing and electrical work — everything my license would allow.
My service in the Navy made me an efficiency expert, so I was able to take on new tasks regularly. If I was not satisfied with the finish, I would start from scratch and do it again until it couldn’t be better. You have nothing without integrity.
